The West Grey Police Service said it has recovered illicit drugs worth over $50,000 after responding a call about a suspicious vehicle.
Officers that responded to the call located an individual asleep behind the wheel of a motor vehicle.
According to police, observations led them to believe the driver was impaired by drugs.
The individual was arrested and a subsequent search allegedly revealed a large quantity of suspected illicit drugs, as well as the seizure of drug trafficking-related items, including digital scales, measuring cups, packaging materials, and cell phones.
Police say they seized a large quantity of cocaine, methamphetamine and fentanyl, totaling an estimated street value of approximately $50,000.
The accused is now facing charges including four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, operation while impaired, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
They were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
