A pair of Owen Sound schools were forced to temporarily take precautionary safety measures on Monday after a so-called suspicious person was spotted in the area.
Owen Sound police were called about the individual on 25th Street East near 8th Avenue East before 2:30 p.m. While officers investigated, Notre Dame Catholic School and École Catholique Saint-Dominique-Savio were placed under a hold-and-secure.
The precautionary safety measure was lifted roughly half-an hour later after police determined there was no threat to public safety.
Police have not released any other details about the investigation.
