As the 2026 municipal election approaches, Owen Sound wants to make sure every voter has the information they need to participate. The city is asking local community groups to help lead the charge.
The city’s election team is inviting local service providers, non-profits, and community groups to an information session at City Hall on Monday, September 21, 2026. The goal is to give leaders the tools and resources needed to guide residents through the voting process before ballots open in mid-October.
"Community organizations play a vital role in connecting residents with information and services," said Mayor Ian Boddy. "By working together, we can help ensure all residents understand the voting process and are prepared to participate in the upcoming election."
Groups are invited to send up to two representatives to the session in Council Chambers, but they must RSVP by September 16. Voting officially opens October 16 and runs until October 26. To reserve a spot or learn more, visit OwenSoundVotes.ca.
