Careless driving charge laid in crash that left e-bike rider hurt

One person was taken to hospital after a crash involving an electric bicycle near Mount Forest.

Emergency crews were called to Wellington Road 6 north of Sideroad 3 where a pickup truck collided with the e-bike around 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday.  

The cyclist was taken to hospital with minor, non-life-threatening injuries.

The pickup driver, a 35-year-old Drayton woman, is charged with careless driving causing bodily harm. She will appear in Guelph court in relation to the charge at a later date.
