Two Wellington North residents are facing a very long list of charges after police seized hundreds of thousands of dollars of drugs and stolen property.
On August 18 and 21 as a result of an ongoing investigation, members of the Grey Bruce OPP Community Street Crime Unit, alongside the Wellington County OPP Community Street Crime Unit, West Region Emergency Response Team and West Region Canine executed a series of search warrants at an address in Wellington North.
Two people, both Wellington North residents, were arrested without incident, and police seized controlled substances worth an estimated potential street value of over $397,000, alongside over $6,700 in offence-related property.
Additionally, officers recovered $127,500 of stolen property, connected to several neighbouring areas. One of the accused is facing 22 charges, while the other arrested party faces 19 charges. Those charges include possession of property obtained by crime, unauthorized possession of a firearm and numerous drug charges.
Both accused were held for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on August 21 and were remanded into custody.
