The beach at Wildwood Conservation Area is closed as of Tuesday due to unsafe water.
Huron Perth Public Health's inspection team found high levels of E.coli bacteria in water samples taken on Friday. Swimming in water that exceeds Ministry of Health guidelines could result in exposure to bacteria that may cause diarrhea or infections.
The conservation area in St. Marys said that an update on the beach status will be posted as soon as possible.
The water has been home to blue-green algae in the past.
