Hanover Police arrest trespasser and seize drugs

Hanover Police Service arrested a trespasser and ended up seizing drugs from the accused after an incident on July 30.

According to Hanover Police, at 12:30 p.m. on July 30, police were called by a local motel regarding an unwanted person who had previously trespassed on the property.

Police determined that a female suspect drove to the motel property in a pick-up truck, which was in violation of a release order that stated she was not to occupy the driver’s seat of any motor vehicle. Officers arrived on-scene and arrested the suspect, and during the arrest officers seized over 110 grams of methamphetamine with a street value of approximately $11,000, along with stolen Ontario driver’s licences and an Ontario Health Card belonging to another person off the accused.

As a result, the 39-year-old female of no fixed address has been charged with a number of offences including Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking. The accused was held for a bail hearing and later remanded into custody.
