Clinton Raceway is set to host its annual and very popular Legends Day event this weekend.
On Sunday, July 26, the races will take place starting at 1:30 p.m., with events for fans starting earlier that morning. The races will feature three generations of the Jamieson family.
Carl Jamieson, who moved his family from Nova Scotia in 1986 to Ontario and built a hall-of-fame racing legacy, will return for the $15,000 Legends Day Invitational Trot. Carl's son Jody will compete for the National Driving Championship title and the opportunity to represent Canada at the 2027 World Driving Championship.
Also, Jody's daughter, Siara Jamieson,will compete in the Junior National Driving Championship which will be held on Saturday, July 25.
One driver change for Legends Day has been made, as Wally Hennessey will unfortunately be unable to compete in the Legends Trot following a recent injury. Wally still plans to attend the event and meet fans, and he will be replaced by his horse's trainer, double Hall of Famer Blair Burgess.
