Stratford General Hospital Foundation achieves Imagine Canada Standards Accreditation

The Stratford General Hospital Foundation has achieved Imagine Canada Standards Accreditation.

Since 2012, Imagine Canada Standards has served as the lone set of comprehensive guidelines within the charitable and non-profit sector. The guidelines were designed by the sector, specifically for the sector, and they look into five key areas when considering accreditation.

Those five areas are board governance, financial accountability and transparency, fundraising, human resources, and volunteer engagement. The standards are meant to promote best practices and transparency for charities and non-profit organizations, with the goal of consistent improvement.

The goal of the Imagine Canada Standards and the accreditation process is to bolster public confidence in charitable and non-profit organizations and the sector itself. The accreditation process involves what Imagine Canada Standards calls "73 rigorous standards."

The Stratford General Hospital Foundation raises funds to support the highest priority needs of the Stratford General Hospital site of the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance.
