A dog bite incident that happened in Grey Highlands is being investigated by Grey Bruce Public Health.
On July 9 around 11 a.m., a woman was bitten by a dog while walking on the 4th Concession B, near Grey Road 2 and south of Maxwell. The dog is described as a medium-sized, black-and-white mixed breed dog.
Health officials wish to confirm the vaccination status of the dog to ensure it is not infectious with rabies. By verifying the health of the dog, the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.
