Two people have been arrested and charged after a search in Brockton that saw police seize two firearms.
According to South Bruce OPP, an investigation led police to execute a search warrant at an address on Bruce Road 15 on June 25. Officers seized two firearms along with five imitation firearms. A quantity of ammunition was also seized at the time.
A 43-year-old and 25-year-old, both Brockton residents, were arrested at the scene. They have both been charged with two counts each of careless storage of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm and knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm.
The 43-year-old was also charged with two counts of failure to comply with release order. They were held for a bail hearing, and later remanded into custody with a court date scheduled for July 22 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton.
The 25-year-old was later released with a court date of August 5 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton.
