Western-themed BBQ to bring live music to Palmerston Friday

The Palmerston Railway Museum is gearing up for a country-inspired kick off to summer.

Boots, Beats and BBQ will be held at the museum at 164 William Street in Palmerston from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. this Friday. The event will include live performances from local musician Bernie Hale, a cornhole tournament, and barbecued eats available for purchase from the Lions Club.

"This exciting western-themed evening will transform the museum grounds into a lively gathering place filled with great music, friendly competition, and family fun," the museum said in a statement. "Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their best western attire. Cowboy hats, boots, denim, and plaid are all welcome."

The cornhole tournament is open to seasoned players and first timers. Prizes will be awarded.

Admission to the event is free, though donations supporting future programming at the museum will be accepted.
