Georgian Bluffs to host Canada Day celebration at Big Bay Dock

The Township of Georgian Bluffs is inviting residents to come out to Big Bay Dock for Canada Day celebrations.

From 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on July 1, residents and guests are invited to take part in the Georgian Bluffs Canada Day tradition of raising the Canadian flag, singing O Canada, and enjoying a free Canadian breakfast.

For early birds, at 8:00 a.m., there will be a free yoga session. Guests are encouraged to bring their own yoga mats, but there will some available.

After the breakfast, kids will have a chance to meet and greet local firefighters from the Inter Township Fire Department and participate in Canada Day crafts. This year, there will also be a chance for guests to share what living in Canada means to them with a community gratitude project.

Those who plan on attending the festivities are encouraged to carpool, walk, or bicycle to the event, in order to keep the shoreline clear, and make the most of limited parking space.

Full details about the Canada Day at Big Bay event can be found on the Township’s website at www.georgianbluffs.ca/canadaday
