The Wingham and District Hospital Foundation has welcomed an $85,170 donation from a local family fund.
A press release from the hospital foundation shares that the money has been donated through the Leland and Thora Vance Fund, administered through the Kitchener Waterloo Community Foundation. The donation will support the purchase of a new ultrasound machine for Wingham and District Hospital.
The press release shares over many decades, Lela and Thora Vance were "dedicated members of the Wingham community, known not only for their local pharmacy business but also for their commitment to giving back."
Now, through the endowment fund established in their name, the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation has been extremely appreciative recipients of many financial contributions.
