MacGregor Point Provincial Park will be adding 17 new camping sites before the end of the month.
The Ontario government announced expansion of three provincial parks on Tuesday, in what it called the first phase of a nearly $60 million, multi-year investment to expand and modernize camping infrastructure.
MacGregor Point currently has 360 sites. Reservations for the new campsites will open on June 15, at 7 a.m. Arrivals will begin June 26.
"The addition of new campsites at MacGregor Point Provincial Park is great news for the Town of Saugeen Shores and the County of Bruce for families looking to enjoy Ontario's beautiful outdoors," said Lisa Thompson, MPP for Huron-Bruce. "This investment will expand access to camping, support local tourism and help more people experience one of our region's most treasured destinations."
The province is also opening 25 new sites at Killarney and Driftwood Provincial Parks. New campsites will be available at Bon Echo and Presqu’ile Provincial Parks in the summer of 2027.
