The cyclist and a vehicle collided on the stretch of highway between O'Dwyers Road and Wellington Road 6 before 4 p.m.
At the time, police said injuries were being assessed. An update on the extent of those injuries has not been provided.
Police reopened the section of Highway 89 around 11 p.m.
The investigation is ongoing.
