A 31-year-old Meaford woman faces drug-related charges after police stopped a vehicle in Owen Sound that allegedly had methamphetamine inside.
Grey Bruce OPP were conducting routine patrols in the area of 3rd Avenue East and 10th Street East around 1 a.m. last Friday when an officer saw a what they believed to be a Highway Traffic Act violation. The suspect vehicle was pulled over and while speaking with the driver the officer saw suspected drugs inside.
The driver was arrested and approximately 18 grams of methamphetamine were seized.
A Meaford woman is charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking and having no clear side view. She has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Owen Sound court in relation to the charges on June 4.
