A tornado warning has been issued for Southwestern Ontario.
At 4:25 p.m. on Saturday, Environment Canada issued the alert, warning people to take cover when threatening weather approaches.
Environment Canada has also issued a severe thunderstorm warning. The notice announced that there is a risk of tornadoes, loonie-sized hail, and up to 90 kilometres per hour winds.
The alert is in place Saturday afternoon for, Goderich, Bluewater, Chatham-Kent and Southern Huron County.
According to Environment Canada, the warning comes as a line of thunderstorms has developed in Michigan, which is expected to move east.
People are reminded to remain indoors or take cover during the storms and to secure loose objects. Environment Canada added that local utility outages are possible.
