Residents that have thoughts on the creation of a dog park in Exeter are encouraged to share them with local council.
The Municipality of South Huron has opened a survey on the matter that will run until May 21.
A local delegation brought the idea to council in 2024, and the proposal was included in this year’s budget talks. Residents and businesses have pledged around $7,000 to help fund the construction of the dog park.
Now council is looking to hear whether people support the idea, and if so, which of the proposed locations they’re in favour of. Options include spaces at the South Huron Recreation Centre, MacNaughton Park, Darling Park and North of Elliott Park.
