Owen Sound program will help seniors plan their housing options

An Owen Sound lawyer will offer tips on how older adults can navigate their housing options, from aging in place to long-term care.

The information session is expected to give older adults the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their future living arrangements. The two-hour talk will be led by Angela Yenssen, a lawyer with the Owen Sound Community Legal Clinic and a member of the Council of Aging Grey Bruce.

The free public presentation will cover the options to consider, and key topics such as costs, legal rights, and how to advocate for yourself as you plan for the future.

The program, dubbed All Things Housing, will take place on Wednesday, April 22, from 1 to 3 p.m. in the library auditorium.

The non-profit Council of Aging Grey Bruce was founded in 2014 by community leaders and older adults who promote age-friendly communities, positive aging, and inclusion. The session is sponsored by Entente Education Canada, formerly Retired Teachers of Ontario, Community Grant.
