Grey County residents curious about taking part in the 2026 municipal election are being encouraged to get informed.
Potential candidates and third-party advertisers can attend an upcoming information session on April 22 to get an in-depth look at the process behind the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election.
The event will be held at the Grey County council chambers in Owen Sound from 6 to 9 p.m., with a virtual attendance option for those who prefer to join online.
Any Grey County resident can participate to learn more about the rules, responsibilities, and expectations for running for office or advertising during the campaign period.
The evening will include representatives from the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, along with election and legislative specialists from Clerks on Call and Grey County’s chief administrative officer.
Local municipal staff will also be available throughout the session to respond to questions and provide insight specific to their communities.
