Owen Sound police ended up making a drug seizure after arresting a man for an unrelated reason.
According to police, the man was taken into custody just after noon on Wednesday. A search following the arrest turned up a quantity of cocaine and methamphetamine, an electronic scale, packaging materials, brass knuckles, and a replica air pistol.
The approximate value of the drugs seized is $5,300, police said.
A 24-year-old Owen Sound man is charged with five offences including possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and possession go proceeds of crime. The man is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing on Thursday.
