$43K worth of stolen property found, two men charged

Two men in their late teens are facing charges after an investigation into break-ins in Meaford, Grey Highlands, and Southgate Township led police to $43,000 worth of stolen goods.

Grey Bruce OPP have been investigating the break and enters at several residents and businesses since August 2025.

On Tuesday, officers responding to an incident found suspected stolen property at a business on Bell Circle in Dundalk. The area was locked down, as was a second building on 7th Line in Meaford identified as being "accessible" to the suspects.

A search of both locations turned up a significant quantity of stolen power tools, chainsaws, a welder, and a .22 calibre semi-automatic rifle.
