Central Huron hosts Plates and Pours for United Way

A lively evening of food, drink and entertainment is on the menu in Central Huron, all in support of a meaningful local cause.

The Central Huron Business Improvement Association is preparing to host Plates and Pours, to support the United Way Perth-Huron.

Community Improvement Coordinator Angela Smith said the event will bring together regional flavours, beverages and comedy for one night at Clinton Town Hall.

"When you arrive, you will receive a small plate of appetizers, and you'll also get a cocktail," said Smith. "Then you will have time to mingle, and get prepared for the first set of the comedy night. There are three renowned comedians making us laugh all evening."

She pointed out guests can expect a variety of small plate offerings paired with samples from area wineries, breweries and distilleries.

"Between each set we will experience a difference local food plate, and each plate comes with a different drink," she added.

Plates and Pours takes place March 28 starting at 6:30 p.m.at Clinton Town Hall.

Organizers note the event is open to those aged 19 and older.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the United Way’s work across Huron County, helping fund programs and services that support residents facing challenges in the community.

Tickets for Plates and Pours are available online through Eventbrite.
