Environment Canada has issued a snow squall watch alert for Goderich, Bluewater, and Southern Huron County.
The orange alert, issued Sunday just after 5 p.m., says the areas could see 20 to 40 centimetres of snow with 70 to 90 kilometre an hour gusts of wind.
The cold front is expected on Monday with snow squalls coming off Lake Huron and Georgian Bay.
Environment Canada warns that travel may be extremely hazardous due to sudden reduced visibility and the possibility of road closures.
The weather is expected Monday evening and is said to improve Tuesday afternoon.
