The Owen Sound Police Service has charged a local man in connection with a fatal collision last month.
On February 17, a pedestrian was struck while crossing the intersection at 16th Avenue East and 10th Street East. The 48-year-old woman was taken to London hospital and later pronounced dead.
On Friday, police announced that a 66-year-old man from Owen Sound has been charged with Careless Driving Causing Death under the Highway Traffic Act.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Provincial Offences Court in April 2026.
Police would like to thank members of the public who came forward with information during the investigation.
