A North Huron resident is charged after a recent incident in Goderich led to the recovery of thousands of dollars worth of stolen property.
On January 26, Huron County OPP officers responded to a dispute on South Street in Goderich. Officers arrived and arrested an individual, and a search of the accused revealed they were in possession of stolen property.
Further investigation resulted in the 35-year-old man from North Huron being arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000, theft of a credit card, five counts of possession of identity documents, breach of recognizance, and causing a disturbance.
The accused was processed, held for a bail hearing, and later released from custody with a future court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich.
