A person has been pronounced dead following a house fire in the Township of Minto.
OPP, Guelph-Wellington EMS, and the Minto Fire Department responded to the home on Minto-Normandy Townline at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
According to police, emergency crews found a 75-year-old inside the home on. They were transported to the hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.
The fire has been contained.
The Fire Marshall, the Office of the Chief Coroner, and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service are investigating the fire as well as the cause of death.
