Mikael Kingsbury wins Canada's first gold of 2026

Mikael Kingsbury won Canada's first gold medal of the 2026 Winter Olympics Sunday morning, finishing tops in the first-ever dual moguls event.

Kingsbury won the final against Ikuma Horishima of Japan, who claimed silver.

This was the first time a men's dual moguls event has been held at the Games.

It's the second medal in Milano Cortina for Kingsbury, after he won silver in the moguls event on Thursday.

Canada now has nine medals at the Games: three silver and five bronze.
