For the second night in a row, the Emergency Department at the Wingham and District Hospital will close temporarily.
A news release from the Listowel Wingham Hospital Alliance (LWHA) confirms that the emergency department in Wingham will close at 10 p.m. on Thursday until 7 a.m. on Friday, February 13.
The LWHA said the closure is "a last resort due to staffing shortages."
The ED was also forced to close overnight on Wednesday.
Ambulances will bypass the hospital during the closure period and travel to the nearest open ER. All local health care providers will be informed of this closure.
