Provincial funding to create new jobs in Stratford

A funding grant from the Ontario government will help create over 40 new jobs in Stratford.

Perth-Wellington MPP Matthew Rae recently announced $1.3 million in provincial funding for Accumetal Manufacturing Inc. in Stratford.

The company is making a $9,330,438 investment in its operations, and the provincial government is adding $1,399,438 in funding through the Regional Development Program’s Southwestern Ontario Development Fund.

According to the province, the funding will create 41 new good-paying jobs and protect 97 existing jobs.

Accumetal Manufacturing will expand its facilities in Woodstock and Stratford and increase overall manufacturing capacity and capabilities with the given funding alongside its investments.

The province also says that "Ontario is investing over $230 million through its Regional Development Program to help manufacturers across the province grow while supporting distinct regional priorities."
