One person killed, two hurt in crash near Stratford

One person is dead after a a two-vehicle crash west of Stratford.

Emergency crews were called shortly before midnight on Wednesday to the intersection of Perth Line 32 and Road 125 in the Township of Perth South, where a pickup truck and four-door sedan had collided. The driver of the pickup was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other driver suffered, serious non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital, while a passenger in the sedan had minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

The collision kept Perth Line 32 between Road 122 and Road 125 closed for several hours. It was reopened early Thursday morning.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, Stratford police said.
