A 56-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle crash involving a snowmobile northwest of Chesley.
The snowmobile collided with a vehicle on Bruce Road 11 between Sideroad 20 and Sideroad 25 around 10:20 p.m. on Thursday. The snowmobile operator, a 56-year-old man, was taken to hospital where he died from his injuries, South Bruce OPP said.
The name of the deceased has not been released.
The section of Bruce Road 11 remained closed through Friday morning while members of the OPP traffic incident management enforcement, technical collision, investigation and reconstruction teams were on scene. Drivers have been asked to avoid the area. Police have given no indication when the road will be reopened.

This is the second fatal snowmobile collision in less than a week on a West Region OPP patrolled road. Last Saturday morning, a 14-year-old boy was killed when his snowmobile collided with a pickup truck at an intersection southeast of St. Marys.
