Vehicle break-in suspects sought

Vehicle owners are being reminded about the importance of locking up after a string of vehicle break-ins in Stratford.

Stratford police received several reports of vehicles that had been broken into overnight last Thursday in the area of Youngs Street and Church Street. Cash, credit and debit cards, identification, and a large amount of tools were stolen.

"This incident acts as a good reminder to ensure that your vehicle is secure when unattended and all valuables are taken inside or placed out of sight," police said.

No suspects had been identified in the break-ins as of Monday afternoon.

Police are asking residents in the area to check their video surveillance footage for any suspicious activity between the evening of January 21 to the morning of January 22.

Anyone with information about the incident is advised to call police at 519-271-4141 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
