Wellington County OPP have charged a 16-year-old from Mount Forest in connection with a recent assault.
According to police, officers responded to a call around 7:30 p.m. on January 21 regarding an incident at a residence in Mount Forest.
Police arrived and conducted an investigation, and as a result, a 16-year-old from Mount Forest has been charged with assault with a weapon, administering a noxious thing, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, and failure to comply with an undertaking.
The victim did not sustain any injuries.
The accused, whose identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was held in police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph at a later date.
