Students encouraged to sign up for Stratford Perth Centre for Business Summer Company Program

Local students in the Stratford area are encouraged to sign up to run their own summer business this year.

The Stratford Perth Centre for Business is hosting its annual Summer Company Program, a provincial initiative funded by the provincial government that supports youth in starting and operating a summer business.

This program is delivered in partnership with the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade. The program "provides students aged 15 to 29 with real-world experience, expert guidance, and financial support to bring their business ideas to life," according to a media release.

In 2026, up to eight local students will be supported in the Stratford area. Successful applicants will get hands-on business training, mentorship from business experts, and up to $3,000 in support funds.

An initial $1,500 will be to help launch a summer company, with an additional $1,500 given after completing the program at the end of summer.

Students interested in applying must register and complete their full application no later than Friday, May 15, 2026 via https://tinyurl.com/23wfj3fr.
