The newly updated Tara Branch of the Bruce County Public Library will hold an open house for the public soon.
On Saturday, January 10 from 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m., anyone interested can come to the open house and see the updates to the branch. That includes new flooring, shelving, a new circulation desk, and a dedicated children’s area.
The event will feature opening remarks, cake, and refreshments. Children and families can also enjoy face painting by Whyllow’s Whimsies from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
In a media release, the library thanked the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie for providing the new flooring and for their assistance and collaboration during the updates.
"Our library is such a special place in the Tara community, and it’s great to see it refreshed and ready to welcome everyone," said Arran-Elderslie Mayor Steve Hammell. "The Municipality of Arran-Elderslie was happy to support these updates, and we’re proud to work alongside the Library to create a space where people of all ages can come together, learn, and feel at home."
