Online workshop to help entrepreneurs better use AI

Entrepreneurs in Perth County who want to learn how to use artificial intelligence (AI) to simplify day-to-day tasks and strengthen operations will be able to do so through a new online workshop.

The Stratford Perth Centre for Business (SPCB), in partnership with investStratford, has launched the new 10-session series called "AI for Small Business." Each of the videos lasts roughly 20 to 30 minutes and uses plain-language to focus on a single practical skill related to AI use, with a step-by-step walkthrough and a downloadable prompt sheet.

“This program was built with one goal in mind—give business owners the confidence to try AI in a way that feels accessible and useful from day one,” said Holly Mortimer, series creator and business advisor with the Stratford Perth Centre for Business. “These micro-workshops are short, friendly, and to the point. If you can watch a Zoom recording, you can use this program to save yourself hours each week.”

The series, tailored to retail, food and beverage, wellness, tourism, and service-based businesses, covers practical topics such as creating social media content, drafting human resource documents, completing market research, building basic financial forecasts, and generating quick Canva graphics using AI. The series was created in a way that is friendly to people who have no previous experience with AI.

The 10-sessions, which includes all videos and downloadable tools, can be purchased for $79. Workshops will be available at www.stratfordperthcentreforbusiness.ca.
