The Grey Bruce OPP have arrested and charged a Georgian Bluffs man who allegedly led police on a chase.
On Wednesday around 12:30 p.m., officers were conducting proactive patrol in Georgian Bluffs when they encountered a man wanted on an outstanding warrant. When officers attempted to arrest him, he ran off and allegedly stole an unattended vehicle.
The suspect was located a short time later, and police deployed a spike belt which successfully disabled the vehicle. The man was arrested without further incident.
The 31-year-old of Georgian Bluffs is facing numerous charges including Flight from Peace Officer, Dangerous Operation, Theft of Motor Vehicle, and Driving While Under Suspension.
The accused was held for a bail hearing at the Owen Sound court on Thursday.
