A construction worker that was struck by a vehicle along Highway 21 had to be taken to a trauma centre with serious injuries.
According to the South Bruce OPP, on November 24 at 5:19 p.m., officers responded alongside Bruce County Paramedic Services and Kincardine Fire and Emergency Services to a report of a collision on Highway 21 in the area of Underwood near Kincardine.
Emergency responders arrived on-scene to find that a 70-year-old construction worker had been hit by a passenger vehicle.
The worker was initially taken to a local hospital and then had to be flown to a London area trauma centre by Air Ornge.
Highway 21 was closed between Concession 6 and Concession 8 until just before midnight on Monday.
Police continue to investigate this collision alongside the Ministry of Labour. If anyone witnessed this crash or has possible dash cam footage, contact South Bruce OPP or Crime Stoppers.
