Santa Claus will arrive in St. Marys on Friday night.
The annual Kinsmen's Santa Claus parade is slated to leave from the Pyramid Recreation Centre at 7 p.m. It will travel up James Street South, then head west on Queen Street East through the downtown before going south on Water Street South where it will come to an end.
Ahead of the parade, volunteers will block off parking along Queen Street East between Water Street and Church Street and on Water Street South from Queens Street East to Jones Street East. Vehicles will not be permitted to park in those sections as of 4 p.m.
In addition to the parade, residents will be able to take in the WinterLights display at Milt Dunnell Field. The lights will illuminate the space from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m. every evening until January 1. Donations to support the display can be made at the "waving Santa" display or online at www.townofstmarys.com/winterlights.
