Hope for the Holidays fundraiser kicks off for Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo and Stratford Perth

The Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo and Stratford Perth has kicked off its annual Hope for the Holidays fundraiser.

This fundraiser is the largest one on the calendar every year for the humane society, and aims to help vulnerable animals receive care and safety.

The public is being asked to help support animals in care of the humane society in a number of ways.

That could include adopting a pet, hosting a food or supply drive for the animals in care of the humane society, making a donation, or shopping the humane society's wish list.

Numerous community partners are helping with the fundraiser, which kicked off on November 17. Mark and Debbie Thompson, longtime supporters of the humane society, will match up to $10,000 made between November 17 to November 23.

Donations can be made quickly and securely online at www.kwsphumane.ca/events/hope-for-the-holidays or at the humane society locations.

"This time of year is about hope and giving," said Victoria Baby, CEO of the HSKWSP. "Every donation, no matter the size, helps transform lives. Your support ensures that animals like Agnes receive the care and compassion they deserve."
