Gateway Centre set to host webinar on medication use

The Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health (CERH) will soon host a free webinar on medication use.

This free webinar will be held via Zoom on Tuesday, December 2 from 12-1 p.m. It will be called “Taking Charge of Your Medications: What You Need to Know and the Tools That Can Help You.”

The discussion will be led by Dr. Tejal Patel, a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Waterloo's School of Pharmacy.

Dr. Patel has focused his research on adult medication use, particularly by older adults. She will go over the role technology can play in the management of medications in your home, and personalized medication adherence aids.

Joining Dr. Patel will be joined by Kristen Watt, Pharmacist and Owner of Kristen’s Pharmacy in Kincardine, and Sarah Milner, Executive Director of the Central Lambton Family Health Team.

Nine young volunteers aged 11 to 17 spent three days exploring and protecting the Lake Huron coastline during the Coastal Conservation Youth Corps' inaugural program in Grand Bend from July 21 to 23.
