A human resources shortage will cause the Clinton Public Hospital to close this weekend, starting Saturday night.
A satement from the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance says that the hospital will close the emergency department at 8 p.m. on Saturday, November 15.
The emergency department will not reopen until Monday, November 17 at 8 a.m., when regular hours of operation will resume.
Anyone requiring immediate medical attention should call 9-1-1. Paramedics will remain available to the community and will re-route to the nearest available Emergency Department to ensure local residents continue to have access to the emergency services they need.
The closest local emergency departments to Clinton are Seaforth, Goderich, and Exeter.
