Two people have been charged with eight total offences following a break-and-enter investigation in Mount Forest.

According to Wellington County OPP, on October 29 at 8:30 a.m., officers were called to an active break-and-enter at a local vacant residence on Birmingham Street West in Mount Forest.

When police arrived on-scene, they conducted an investigation and have now charged a 33-year-old Arthur woman and a 49-year-old Mount Forest man with numerous offences.

The woman is facing charges that include break-and-enter, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and two counts of failure to comply with a probation order.

The male suspect has been charged with break-and-enter, as well as possession of methamphetamine and cocaine.

Police say the female accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing, while the male accused has since been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on December 5, 2025.
