A South Huron resident has been charged with six offences after allegedly assaulting two people with a knife in Exeter.
According to Huron County OPP, on October 10, officers responded to a report of an assault at Victoria Park in Exeter.
Police determined that a suspect had allegedly brandished a knife and committed assaults on two individuals.
The suspect was found by police shortly after the assaults occurred, and the suspect tried to resist arrest and run from officers. Police tracked the suspect down at a different location and used pepper spray to apprehend the suspect.
Now, a 55-year-old from South Huron has been charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, two counts of assault, and two counts of resist peace officer.
The accused was processed, held for a bail hearing, then later released from custody with a court date scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich on November 3, 2025.
