The Town of Saugeen Shores will be offering residents a chance next month to provide feedback about a resurfacing project on a main artery through Southampton.
R.J. Burnside & Associates Limited, a Canadian engineering and environmental consulting company, has been tapped to provide design services for the planned resurfacing of Highway 21 between South Street and Craig Street. The project aims to improve parking in the downtown area, as well as review pavement marking strategies to enhance safety and travel options for all road users, including drivers and cyclists.
Ahead of the work, the town will be holding a public information centre to present details of the proposed design and allow residents a chance to provide feedback. The meeting is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on November 6 at the Southampton Town Hall at 201 High Street. The presentation will begin at 5 p.m.
Those in attendance will be able to meet the project team and share input.
All presentation materials will be posted to the Engage Saugeen Shores website following the November 6 meeting.
