Midwestern Ontario paramedics honoured with exemplary service medals

Several paramedics from Midwestern Ontario were among the 130 in the province to receive exemplary service medals.

The medals were given out by the Ontario Association of Paramedic Chiefs at a ceremony on September 25.

The award is presented to paramedics who have served for at least twenty years providing the highest quality of care. To qualify, at least ten of the years of service must have been on duty in the field – whether on the street or in the air - involving potential risk to the individual. Nominees can be currently active, retired or deceased.

Among the award winners were Bruce County's Nathalie Laurin-Tuttle and Naomi Liverance, Grey County's Josef Drape, Jessica Robb and Paula Trombley, D’Arcy McLaren from Guelph-Wellington, and Perth County's Tracey Cleary, Stephen Potz, Brian Stoeser, Monia Tousignant and Jacqueline Ussher.
