SFN residence lost in early morning fire

Saugeen Fire and Emergency Services say no one was hurt in a residential fire on Saugeen First Nation Saturday morning.

Fire crews responded around 12:40 a.m. to a blaze on Eagle Street in South Bruce Peninsula that had already consumed most of the home.

According to SFES, they were able to quickly contain the fire to one structure and protect the surrounding vehicles and outbuildings.

Crews cleared the scene around 6 a.m.

The fire service thanked all of its attending volunteer members and reminded the community to respect those impacted by the fire and offer supports where necessary.
