Assault investigation results in charges against Huron East resident

A recent assault incident has resulted in the arrest of a Huron East resident.

According to Huron County OPP, on September 27, officers responded to a report of an assault at an address on Oxford Street West in the Village of Hensall.

Police arrived and determined through an investigation that a suspect had committed an assault against another person at the scene.

A 34-year-old Huron East resident was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon, mischief under $5,000 and fail to comply with probation.

The accused was processed, held for a bail hearing, and later released from custody with a court date scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich on October 27.
